HP OfficeJet 4650 is present with an automatic Wireless connection for establishing the Network connectivity. Your OfficeJet printer provides the limitless capacity for connecting mobile devices over Wireless medium. While your OfficeJet Wi-Fi Direct offers the freedom to initiate a Local Wireless Network for your convenience. Your wireless printer works absolutely well when connect on a wireless router and also when directly connected to your network without using router. In order to setup the OfficeJet 4650 wireless connection you should first configure the 802.11b/g/n network card with your automatic wireless router. Try to check for an Internet connection on your printer. Make a note of the Wireless Network Name and the WEP password Key that is printed at the back of the router.
Setup Auto Wireless Connection:Press the Home button to open the Printer dashboard. Touch Wireless shortcut and then touch Settings option. Touch the Wireless Setup Wizard option and then follow the onscreen instructions to select Wireless feature. Touch OK and proceed further till you are prompted for an authentication. Now use the screen keyboard to type your wireless network name and WEP password key. Touch the OK tab and wait till your printer gets self-configured on the wireless network. If you find the network connection to be unreliable then try changing the password to WPA text passphrase.
Setup Wi-Fi Direct Access:Press the Home button to open the Printer dashboard screen. Touch Wi-Fi Direct shortcut option and then touch Settings option. Now Touch the Wi-Fi Direct ON/OFF control button to enable the Wi-Fi service. Press Back button to view the Wi-Fi Direct connection details. Make a note of the Wi-Fi Direct network name and the Pin. Now switch Wi-Fi ON in your Mobile and then try to use the Wi-Fi Log In information to make a connection with your printer. You can configure about 5 different mobile devices. In an replacement method, Press the Start button and then click Utilities/Control Panel. Double click the Network folder and then click Add a device to your existing Wireless Network. Click Next and then proceed to select Wi-Fi Direct connection. Follow up with the screen instructions and then provide the Wi-Fi network name and Pin for authentication purpose. Using this method you can configure and connect more number of mobile devices to your printer network.
